2023

  • €2.5m seed fund-raise to accelerate commercial roll-out. The raise included funding from Impact Ocean Capital, a fund managed by GO Capital, and non-dilutive financing. Read more here;
  • ‘OceansLab – Cleantech Accelerator’, Breteche, and Terega Solutions, Genevos achieves one of the world’s first green hydrogen refuellings on a boat – a foiling IMOCA, skippered by Co-Founder Mr Philip Sharp. Read more here;
  • Approval in Principle (AiP) awarded for the complete hydrogen energy system installation on board the IMOCA. The approval was provided by Lloyds Register (“LR”), a leading provider of classification and global services in marine engineering and technology. Read more here;

  • Preliminary studies commence on a high power fuel cell power system.

2022

  • Winner of Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation. Read more here;

  • New Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ‘Start-up Innovation’ grant to accelerate R&D of 80 kW marine fuel cell.

2021

  • First world-wide AiP (Approval in Principle) for their product range of fully-integrated marine fuel cells (15 kW – 40 kW). Read more here;
  • Winner of UK Government funded project to supply a 15kW marine fuel cell to EMEC (European Marine Energy Centre). Read more here;
  • The Communauté d’Agglomération de La Rochelle welcomes Genevos in a low-carbon centre at Atlantech, Lagord, the first European carbon cooperative, which produces green hydrogen and is part of the ‘La Rochelle, zero carbon territory’ initiative.

2020

  • Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ‘Start-up Innovation’ grant to accelerate R&D of marine fuel cell prototype;
  • HPM prototype accredited with the ‘Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label’, officially recognising the product as a clean and profitable solution with a positive impact on environment and quality of life. Read more here.
